Welcoming All Women to Embrace the Inner DIVA!

Jasmine's Thoughts

Hello all, and welcome to my own personal thoughts.

I personally believe that if I expect someone to reveal themselves to me, I should first be able to be transparent to them.  Now, that being said, this doesn't work for everybody.  Some people wont appreciate or accept this and may criticize.

I follow God (Universe) in all that I do and He has given me the directive to make myself transparent so that those who need to see me can, and then are able to recieve my services.

So this blog will contain different articles I write, great info and or sites I come across online and sometimes my occasional rantings, lol!

Beautiful day to all and blessings,

Blessings!!!,

DIVA MUST-HAVE! Great site and book: Doctors are Dangerous

Posted at 10:28 AM on June 15, 2009

Every now and again you come across a book that is a must-read.  Elaine Hollingsworth's book, "Take Control of Your Health and Escape the Sickness Industry", is one of those.

This remarkable book reveals damning evidence of what corporations and governments do in order to maintain huge profits, regardless of their often catastrophic effects on the health of those they claim to serve.

But there is more to this book than attacks on big business and  the medical and health industries. Throughout its pages you will discover well-researched and proven alternatives to expensive medication and surgical procedures, as well as learning about commonly held "beliefs" and even maladies that are nothing more than the inventions of marketing experts to help sell more products.  Sound interesting? For more information click on the following link http://mjbonline.docsrdang.hop.clickbank.net/.

If you are seriously interested in improving your health and wellbeing you owe it to yourself and those you care for to order your own copy of this controversial best-seller today.

Interesting sites I found today

Posted at 01:07 PM on June 08, 2009

Today I came across a couple of cool websites:

A very informative website Health Blog...a blog devoted to healthy information and talking about natural health.  I love great finds like this and finding more and more people interested in living the best life they can by using what we already have from nature.

My personal take is that before there was "modern medicine" people were having babies, surviving and living.  Now that we have more knowledge we can and should use it to benefit ourselves to live better lives.  That being said, we can sometimes use this knowledge in a way that is detrimental, we can get so caught up in what we think we know, we forget to look at the simple things. All of this medicine and "wonder drugs" out on the market has us so messed up with the side affects that it's ridiculous.  Nature has plenty to offer us that can be just as good and or better!!!

So here's to good healthy living and live free!!!  For more great information go check out this blog and start on your way to building knowledge and health and wellness.

Here’s a cool site to help you learn and increase your vocabulary: Vocabulary Builder.  Knowing what you are talking about and using correct pronunciation and spelling is a huge part of "appearing intelligent", right?  Well, it can at least go a long way to making people think so, lol.  As the old saying goes “It’s better to appear stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt”.  Hehehe…take a look at this site and you won’t have to stay quiet!!!

I love to learn so I'll definitely be taking a look at this site periodically to challenge my brain and make sure I know what I'm talking about.

Does your attitude affect your health and your situation?

Does your attitude affect your health and your situation?

(Written 04-06-09)

Are you wondering why you feel run down most days...like you just can't get enough "oomph" to get everything done?

Maybe you wake up tired, your day seems to be full of everything going wrong, and you feel like something is off with yourself.

Well, here's the thing, there may be something going on health wise, and if so you need to make it a priority to go to your health practitioner and receive a check up.  However, one thing that we take for granted and don't give enough attention to is the way our attitude can affect our health negatively.  When we program ourselves to think negatively and expect negative things this can take a toll on our mental and physical body.

It can manifest in many ways: depression, illness, fatigue, sleeplessness, irritability, weight loss, weight gain, headaches, physical pain, etc.

And just as your attitude can create havoc in your body, it can create havoc in your environment and situations.  Have you ever noticed that there were some days that seem like everything than can go wrong does go wrong?  How did you handle the stress and the situations? Did you get mad?  Did you allow the stress to totally destroy your concentration?  Did you take it out on the other innocent people around you?

Did you stop to take a minute and think how your attitude and reactions could be making things worse?

I'll give you an example of both the physical affects and the surroundings of a positive and negative attitude:

Take two people who have both been diagnosed with cancer.

Person A has an upbeat attitude and uses the diagnoses to start "living every minute";they already live with a positive attitude and mind set and the diagnoses just make them treat every moment even more special.  They go thru treatment and even though they may lose their hair and lose weight, etc.  they still look and feel good.  Life for them actually seems to get better.  Now, this person doesn't know whether they will be a survivor or if the cancer will take their life, but they are truly happy and loving life. You can't figure out what's going on.  Have they gone insane?

Person B has a negative attitude and sees it as a death sentence.  They already have a negative attitude and this only makes it worse.  Once diagnosed they go "downhill" very quickly.  The illness seems to take over their entire life, and they aren't very pleasant to be around.  Nobody really wants to spend time with them which makes them feel even lonelier. They don't know whether they are going to be a survivor or if the cancer will take their life either.  But they are living as if they already know they are going to die, they are just waiting for it to happen.

Are you starting to get a mental picture of how your attitude can affect not only your physical body but your overall situation?  More and more links are being found between negative thinking/living and disease and illness in the body.

So do you want to affect your body, health and life in a negative or positive way?

Me? I'm focusing on living everyday to the fullest and being as happy as I can be!

My Angel got her wings!

Posted at 12:50 PM on June 01, 2009

I have been a little preoccupied and distracted because over the last few months I was back and forth to Florida to stay with my Grammy as she was not doing so well health wise.  I thank God for the oppertunity to have had this extra time with her and I thank God for the legacy she has left behind in me.  On April 29, 2009, my Grammy left this world and got her wings.  She is now with the other Angels and sings the prasises of God and worshiping at His feet.

I can't describe the loss I feel and the hole that has been left in my heart, however I would not trade it.  It is worth the heartache of losing her to have had her in my life.  She was my angle, my friend, my confidant, my prayer, so many things it's hard to put them into words.  She was my Grammy...

I know that she is still with me in spirit and keeping watch over me and this makes me smile.  I rejoice because she is no longer in physical pain and finally at peace.

Thank you God for having blessed me to have her in my life and experience her love!!!

Loving To Live!

 (Written 2-17-09)

Are you just going thru life letting it live you?  Well here?s your wakeup call! Do you want to learn how to live life everyday feeling good and free? Do you want to learn how to live life with joy, happiness and peace that is calming in the face of anything?  Well guess what the key ingredient is, LOVE!

Yes, you read it right; Love is exactly what you need in order to start experiencing life on a new level and enjoying yourself.   How much of your life have you been wasting, waiting on things to be exactly as you wish they were, or for the perfect time to start enjoying yourself?

You could be saying:

?I?ll love myself and feel so good about myself when I lose this weight?

?I?ll love my life when I get this job, or when I can have such and such car?

?I?ll love my life when I get this man to love me?

?Life will be so good, once I buy this or that thing?

?Life will be so good once I look like so and so and can wear this?

?Life will be great when I get finished with this and have that?

?I?ll be great once I have long hair?

?Life will be great once everybody else starts do this or that?

STOP!!!

Stop living life waiting for the perfect opportunity to come along and the perfect person to do it with.  You are ?living? life every day so act like it.  Whether you want it to or not, life is continuing to move forward. This is a continual forward movement.  You can?t pause life, unfortunately there is not a remote with that type of function. So start enjoying the moment. Start living life as if it means something to you.  Start taking some deep breathes and reveling in the sunshine and beauty of the moment. You only get one body and one life to live it in.  Appreciate and enjoy the awesomeness of the gift God has given you by breathing life into you.  Be thankful for the moment, the day, the life in you and around you.

GO!!!

Go forward with your life and LIVE! You can start by simply loving the life you have and moving forward to the life God has for you.  Start by loving!  It?s that simple. Love is the key and is all you need to overcome and accomplish all that God has for you.  When you are free to love, you are open to change, to growth, to anything life has to offer.  You can overcome hurts and pains, and be open to healing and renewing.  Let love do all that it can for you to make the most of this life.

Love God.  Love yourself.  Love your life.  Love the people around you.  Love the spirit of God in you.  There is so much to love about the life and the world around you that God has blessed you with.  SO START LOVING!!!

LOVE!!!

The Message in The Midst

The Message in The Midst

(2-04-09)

I have come to learn thru my own experiences in life that sometimes it is not the particular situation that we must really pay attention to, but the lesson contained in the experience that we must take with us.  Life can certainly get messy as we face different situations and circumstances.  Some situations give us joy, happiness and wonderful memories.  Some situations we face can cause hurt, pain, anger, guilt, shame, and a barrage of other emotions.  The question is, how have you been handling your situations?  Are you still asking, "God why me?"  Are you still trying to figure out what you did to be going thru this?

Well let me give you a little help.  Change your attitude and focus.  Instead of asking why me, ask yourself, "How can I learn from this situation?".  Try asking God, "What do you need me to do God?".  You can also realize: IT IS NOT ALL ABOUT YOU!

Sometimes we go thru circumstances and situations to learn lessons to pass on to others.  God will also allow us to go thru situations that put us in a position to protect or cover those around us.  We must face obstacles in order to mature and grow into the person God has destined us to be.  We must face challenges and growing pains to remove and let go of all the unnecessary baggage we pick up.  We have to learn who we are and then learn God?s purpose in our lives so that we are able to be affective in the tasks He has assigned us.

Ask yourself, "What is my message in all of this mess?".  And once you ask yourself this question, be ready for the answer.  Sometimes what you hear may not make you feel all warm and cuddly inside.  It may make you mad, it may even hurt your feelings, but the message is always intended to grow and mature you as a person God can and wants to use.

So, what is your message?

  • Do you need to change your perspective?
  • Do you need to change your attitude?
  • Do you need to be more giving?
  • Do you need to be more receptive?
  • Do you need to let go of old hurts and pains?
  • Do you need to let go of excess baggage?
  • Do you need to let go of people?
  • Do you need to learn how to share (your lessons that is)?

Start asking yourself some questions so you can get your message in the midst of your mess! And don?t forget to pass on the lessons to the person or people God puts in front of you for you to share with.  Don?t forget, one of your messages could be about selfishness. Learn how to share the lessons and the blessings and help somebody else!

The Gift of Giving

The Gift of Giving

(Written 2-19-09)

The Gift of Giving

Have you sometimes wondered why it seems like some people just have all the luck? They catch all the good sales, they get the best deals on cars, houses, and everything just seems to fall in line for them.  Well, let me give you a clue, it?s because they give.  They give goodness out to the Universe and goodness comes back to them. This is done in so many ways. People can give goodness simply by passing on a smile, a hug or some other simple and kind gesture.  Buying a co-worker lunch, taking a friend to the movies just because or even just taking some donuts to work and sharing a good laugh over good treats. Most importantly, people give goodness by giving back to God.

Let me give you some more specific examples:

If God blesses you with a financial increase don?t be stingy with it, pass it on. If you have a friend struggling to pay a bill, help him or her out if God gives you the unction.  Just give them the money, or go pay the bill or buy whatever is needed.  Don?t argue with God, He knows what He is doing and what He is asking you to do.  If you see someone going hungry, don?t talk about what you need and don?t have, share with them.  If you don?t have enough to buy them a separate meal, share what you have for yourself.

If God blesses you with a car, don?t toot your noise up at those who don?t have their own vehicle.  Ask them if they need assistance getting anywhere, give them a ride.  Even if they have a car, if you know they are going thru financially, offer the give them a few dollars for gas.  Even better, surprise them and give them a Gas Gift Card.

If God blesses you to have a "bomb" wardrobe, don?t get too cute and look down your noise at those who can?t dress as snazzy.   Take something out of your closet and pass it on.  And don?t get slick trying to give them stuff you wouldn?t dare be caught dead in, give them something beautiful they can wear with pride.

Now do you see the pattern here?

If you want God (Universe) to be good to you, be good to Him.  Be good to His other children.  Treat people right.  Take care of what you have and appreciate it, however don?t become stingy and forget about passing on some of your blessings.  It brings to mind for me the old saying, ?A closed fist doesn?t lose anything, but it doesn?t gain anything either?.  You see, because the hand is closed so tight you?ll be sure to not drop anything. However here?s the question you should be asking yourself now, ?If nothing gets out, how does anything get in??.

Now do you understand why some people seem to always catch a break and get the goods? Why good luck, good things and good people seem to follow them around.  It is a gift to be able to give something or do something for someone else out of kindness and love.  It is a true blessing to be a blessing.  Once you learn this, keep it close to your heart and implement it, you?ll see the shifting take place and goodness start overtaking you.

Now here are some very important questions you need to askyourself and keep in mind when you begin doing things and expecting goodness:

What is your mindset when you see others doing things or being blessed and receiving goodness?  Are you jealous or envious of them?  Do you get upset and speak against them: ?Why did they get such and such, what about me?? ?They don?t deserve this or that, I do?, ?God why do they get all the good stuff, they?re any better than me???

You might very well be sabotaging yourself by the words out of your mouth and the thoughts in your heart, whether you speak them out loud or not.  You might be blocking your own blessings and goodness simply because you can?t and won?t rejoice for anyone else.   Have you ever considered that if you can just be happy for someone else and thank God for blessing them, He might have favor on you. Consider that if you are less selfish and self-centered, God just might shift some things and send an overflow of goodness your way because you?ll be ready and able to accept and appreciate it.

I hope I?ve given you a little insight and food for thought.  Turn it over in your mind for a little bit and see it if makes sense and if it can help you move forward in getting and living your own goodness.  If you see the ?light?, then start today and change your mindset/ attitude and start attracting the things you want in this life.  Pass on goodness and then live with the mindset that you deserve and are worthy of God?s goodness.  Pass on His love to others around you and trust that God will in turn have favor and kindness toward you.  Keep this in mind also, if you live with the mindset that you can?t let anything go because you won?t get anything else or you?ll go without, then that?s exactly what will happen.  You won?t get anything else and you?ll go without.

When you live with an attitude of abundance and trust, all of your needs will be met and you?ll begin to see that you are never without.

Eating Healthy

 (Written 3-10-06)

**Thefollowing information has been compiled from

my own experiences, my reading, and studying as a

Personal Trainer and Holistic Life Coach.**

Fresh is best. Try to eat fresh fruits and vegetables and often as possible.

If you cannot use fresh ingredients, frozen is your next best option.

More is less. Try eating smaller meals more often throughout the day.

This can be challenging so start by slowly reducing the portions of your

meals. It will get easier to eat less food each meal, but more meals over

time.

Appreciate your food. Try slowly decreasing intake of salt and other

excessive seasonings. Learn to appreciate the taste of your foods without

masking them with excessive flavors and dressings.

Build your own program. Instead of focusing on all the different

adviceon how to build your diet (food diagrams, fad diets, etc.) make sure

you vary your foods daily. Try all the different colors in the vegetable and

fruit groups. Everything standard does not work for everybody. Discover

the healthy foods that you enjoy and give you satisfaction.

Enjoy your food! If you take the time when eating to truly enjoy the

food, you are more likely to be satisfied and not over eat. Take the time

between bites to savor the flavor and chew the food.

Plan your meals. Take the time to plan your meals and snacks for a week

at a time. If you know ahead of time what you are eating it makes it easier

to stick to your healthy eating habits and achieve your goals. I have found

that when I am in a crunch and do not have any idea what I have in the

kitchen this is when I fall to junk food or other less desirable eating habits.

Get help and support. Invite your friends and family to go on your

healthy eating journey with you. This will help everyone to stay motivated

and achieve desired goals so much easier than trying to go through alone.

Set reasonable goals. Do not expect to change yourself or your eating

habitsovernight. Write out a 4-6 week plan and outline small changes to

focus on each week. If you have not met your goal each week do not get

discouraged, just refocus your energy on accomplishing that goal. You may

also need to reevaluate the goal to make sure it is reasonable to accomplish

in the period you have given yourself.

Love yourself!! It does not matter how drasticly you change your eating

habitsor anything else about yourself if you do not first love and accept

yourself you will not be satisfied with any change you experience. Accept

and celebrate who you already are and then began working on making

changes to be a healthier version of yourself.

**Always consult your physician before starting any exercise regimen if you

have any serious conditions or illnesses. This information does not take the

place of your physician's advice or opinions**
