Are you wondering why you feel run down most days...like you just can't get enough "oomph" to get everything done?
Maybe you wake up tired, your day seems to be full of everything going wrong, and you feel like something is off with yourself.
Well, here's the thing, there may be something going on health wise, and if so you need to make it a priority to go to your health practitioner and receive a check up. However, one thing that we take for granted and don't give enough attention to is the way our attitude can affect our health negatively. When we program ourselves to think negatively and expect negative things this can take a toll on our mental and physical body.
It can manifest in many ways: depression, illness, fatigue, sleeplessness, irritability, weight loss, weight gain, headaches, physical pain, etc.
And just as your attitude can create havoc in your body, it can create havoc in your environment and situations. Have you ever noticed that there were some days that seem like everything than can go wrong does go wrong? How did you handle the stress and the situations? Did you get mad? Did you allow the stress to totally destroy your concentration? Did you take it out on the other innocent people around you?
Did you stop to take a minute and think how your attitude and reactions could be making things worse?
I'll give you an example of both the physical affects and the surroundings of a positive and negative attitude:
Take two people who have both been diagnosed with cancer.
Person A has an upbeat attitude and uses the diagnoses to start "living every minute";they already live with a positive attitude and mind set and the diagnoses just make them treat every moment even more special. They go thru treatment and even though they may lose their hair and lose weight, etc. they still look and feel good. Life for them actually seems to get better. Now, this person doesn't know whether they will be a survivor or if the cancer will take their life, but they are truly happy and loving life. You can't figure out what's going on. Have they gone insane?
Person B has a negative attitude and sees it as a death sentence. They already have a negative attitude and this only makes it worse. Once diagnosed they go "downhill" very quickly. The illness seems to take over their entire life, and they aren't very pleasant to be around. Nobody really wants to spend time with them which makes them feel even lonelier. They don't know whether they are going to be a survivor or if the cancer will take their life either. But they are living as if they already know they are going to die, they are just waiting for it to happen.
Are you starting to get a mental picture of how your attitude can affect not only your physical body but your overall situation? More and more links are being found between negative thinking/living and disease and illness in the body.
So do you want to affect your body, health and life in a negative or positive way?
Me? I'm focusing on living everyday to the fullest and being as happy as I can be!
